How to Import Employees from Tanda

Learn how to import employee details from Tanda to Myaccountant for streamlined payroll processing. This guide covers connection steps, import process, and post-import checks to ensure a smooth sync between Tanda and your payroll system.
Step-by-Step: Importing Employees from Tanda
Once your Tanda account is connected to Myaccountant, you can easily bring over employee records without manual data entry.
Step 1: Navigate to the Employees Section
- From the left-hand side menu, go to Payroll > Employees.
Step 2: Open Import Options
- Click the Options button in the top-right corner.
- From the dropdown, select Import Employees from Tanda.
Step 3: Start the Import Process
- A popup window will appear.
- Click the Import button to begin fetching data from your connected Tanda account.
Step 4: Review the Import Summary
- Once the import is complete, a summary will be displayed showing how many employee records were successfully imported.
- Click OK to complete the process.
Step 5: Verify Imported Employees
- Imported employees will now appear in your employee list in Myaccountant.
- Click Open on each employee record to review and update additional fields if needed.
Post-Import Tips
- Check Start Dates: Ensure employment start dates are accurate so employees appear in upcoming pay runs.
- Verify Tax and Super Details: Tanda may not store all payroll-specific data. Enter missing TFNs and super fund info.
- Update Leave Entitlements: Add leave settings if applicable.
- Enable Portal Access: Optionally activate self-service access for your staff.
- Review Duplicates: If an employee was previously added manually, remove duplicates to avoid pay run errors.
Useful Tips
- You must connect your Tanda account before using this feature.
- Only active employees in Tanda will be imported.
- You can import employees multiple times — Myaccountant will only sync new or updated records.
