Removing a Saved Payment Method

Overview

You can remove a saved credit card or bank account from your Myaccountant billing settings. This article explains how — and what to do if you run into issues.

  1. Click the menu icon (three dots) in the top-right corner and select Plans and Billing.
  2. In the Payment Details section, locate the payment method you want to remove.
  3. Click the Delete (trash can) icon next to it.
  4. A confirmation pop-up will appear — click Yes to proceed.
  5. If you see an error message saying the payment method can’t be deleted, it’s likely because you have an active subscription linked to it.
    In this case, first cancel your subscription, then return and delete the payment method.

Useful tips :

  • You must have no active subscriptions to delete your only saved payment method.
  • To continue using Myaccountant, make sure another valid payment method is added before deleting the current one.
  • Reach out to support if you're unsure which subscriptions are active
